 NEWS: Randi Murray has just joined DeFiore and Company, a full service literary agency in New York. Her submission guidelines remain the same. As a growing agency, we are actively seeking new writers, and encourage all submissions of material within the areas we represent. We work with our writers on all aspects of the publication process, Randi Murray did her undergraduate and graduate (MBA) work at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. After graduate school she worked for Goldman Sachs in New York, in both investment banking and equity research as a vice president. After moving to San Francisco in 1987, Randi eventually became chief administrative officer of Cornerstone Research, a litigation consulting firm specializing in securities fraud cases. She has always been a passionate reader, and formed a still-going-strong book club in 1987. Randi recently formed her own agency, and feels so fortunate to have discovered a field which combines her love for books with her business, client service and legal experience. The Randi Murray Literary Agency, Inc. is located in Burlingame, just south of San Francisco. We do not charge reading fees for submissions, and have a standard industry commission structure: 15% for domestic; 20% for foreign and film. Randi was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She is married with two sons, and serves on the UC Berkeley Parents Advisory Board. She and her husband Gordon have been selected as the 2006 Hillsborough Citizens of the Year for their volunteer efforts on behalf of their community school district.
